The Coroana de Aur Hotel (translates as Golden Crown) came into being following the visit of a group of American journalists to Bistrita who asked about the hotel and the Bargau Pass they had read about in Bram Stoker’s book. The Golden Crown Hotel is where Jonathan Harker is said to have stayed in Bistrita; this is where Bram Stoker chose as the setting for Dracula's castle.
