About Kranjska Gora
Kranjska Gora is located in the very northwest of Slovenia, in a geographically confined area between the Karavanke mountains to the north and the Julian Alps in the south, in the Upper Sava Valley. Here you will find incredible mountains, the spring of the Sava river, a Russian Chapel, a small lake and numerous other historical attractions and together with the friendly local people complete the beauty of this place.
The old village centre is a picturesque place throughout the year, as are many of the surrounding villages. From here your journey may take you fully into the Triglav National Park to enjoy a whole host of activities, cycling, hiking, golf, fishing, mountain climbing in the summer and various forms of skiing, tobogganing and skating in the winter. If you are travelling around the country on a self-drive holiday then your next journey will likely be southwest across the incredible Vrsic Pass to Bovec and on to Slovenia's wine region, its coast or to Postojna to visit the caves and other karst landscapes.
We look forward to being of service.
