About Bovec
Bovec is located by one of Europe's most fascinating rivers, in the most beautiful Alpine section of its flow down from the Julian Alps. The Soča river changes colour from light blue through turquoise, emerald to green as it passes through quite diverse rock formations. This natural landscape is characterised by an outstanding wealth of diversity - numerous waterfalls with charming pools in hidden ravines and lush flora way up to the high mountain peaks in summertime with evergreen vegetation under the snow in winter.
Soča Valley offers the greatest variety of mountain biking and hiking trails in Slovenia. The oldest and longest nature trail in the Triglav National Park, the Soča River Trail (now part of Alpe-Adria trail) takes you from the spring of the Soča river to Bovec. Even a short journey can offer a great family picnic with an unforgettable experience exploring the secrets of the Soča valley, river and mountains. Whether you are fly fishing or playing golf in its surroundings, unique mountain views are always close by; if you'd like another perspective, you can take a panoramic flight over the beautiful area or even try sky-diving.
Kanin - Sella Nevea is the only high-mountain ski area in Slovenia; it is found in the southwest part of Kanin mountain range which is only 60km from the Adriatic Sea. In 2009/10 by realising an idea to unite the skiing areas on both sides of the Kanin massive the ski resort "Kanin - Sella Nevea" became the first international cross-border ski centre in Slovenia and Italy.
We look forward to being of service.
