Car hire in Morocco is relatively inexpensive and road conditions are reasonably safe and easy to negotiate between the major towns; even many off-road (piste) routes are accessible with 4WD vehicles. Roads are good in most regions now, even in the mountains and desert areas they are mostly asphalted and are being upgraded all the time. We have all driven extensively around Morocco and will be happy to share our experiences with you if you are at all unsure about self-drive. We have put together some recommended routes based on our knowledge of living, working and travelling in Morocco's vast countryside. We don't recommend driving at night as oncoming vehicle's headlights can be poor and safety barriers on some mountain roads are non-existent.

Car Hire Information

All car hire rates are fully inclusive of unlimited kms, free delivery and collection in major locations, Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Waiver, Personal Accident Insurance, Fully Comprehensive Insurance, windscreen breakage cover, ALL local taxes/fees and there is also a 24hr emergency service with replacement vehicle option if required. Delivery and collection from the airports or delivery to any hotel in Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, Fez or Casablanca is included in the price; however, if you wish to start or finish your rental in a different location then a small charge will apply as it will be a ONE-WAY rental - please ask us for more details.

Private English-Speaking Driver Service

If you would prefer not to drive or wish to enjoy the scenery as you pass through this fantastic country then we can offer you the services of a private chauffeur. Your driver will be English-speaking and will be able to co-ordinate pre-booked tours or simply assist with any local sightseeing, e.g. arranging a local, official guide for historic monuments, etc. Our drivers have their own large, comfortable 4WD vehicles and have extensive experience of the routes we recommend.

Private Chauffeur & Guide Service

We can also offer a fully qualified National Guide who will provide a full guide service as if you were on one of our tours; this would be in addition to a private driver. Only entrance fees will be extra. NB. available only for groups of 6 persons or more.

Please note that car hire and our private chauffeur services are only avaialble as part of a tailor made holiday booked through Rediscover the World. We offer a wide range of accommodation and sightseeing options and will be happy to put together a bespoke holiday for you which includes one of our excellent drivers.

All drivers and guides are booked on a calendar day basis rather than the 24 hour system for car hire; this allows them to get to your arrival point and / or return home at the end of their 'tour' with you.
