This is an extraordinary opportunity to travel with one of our friendly, professional, English-speaking drivers along the quiet roads of the south visiting many of the famous, and forgotten, kasbahs, plenty of off the beaten track villages and a night (or two) in the Sahara.
The journey essentially takes the [very] long way round from Marrakech to Agadir via the Tichka Pass in the High Atlas, Morocco's "Film Town" - Ouarzazate, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, Zagora, Erg Ch'Gagga in the Sahara, Foum Zguid & Tata on the great southern road and Sidi Ifn, Mirleft & Tiznit on the undiscovered Atlantic coastline.
We have many years of experience putting together practical and interesting journeys for our customers and we recommend this route to make the most of your time in this fascinating country. We have great pleasure to offer you the opportunity to experience Morocco accompanied by one of our excellent team of English-speaking drivers.
Travelling with one of our friendly English-speaking drivers allows you to experience much more of the country and its people. Your driver will gladly discuss both your daily schedule and general matters about Morocco and the places you pass; he can arrange local guides or co-ordinate any itinerary of pre-booked sightseeing that we arrange with you beforehand. In addition to your driver's experience and knowledge during your holiday we have also driven extensively around Morocco and will be happy to share our experiences with you if you are at all unsure about your chosen route or any aspect of travelling with one of our drivers.
Important Information
Your driver will have a comfortable 4WD vehicle and their daily rate includes their food, accommodation, fuel and road tolls. This also includes expenses to return home from your finishing point in Agadir as our drivers are based in Marrakech.
City Tours (where pre-booked) include an English-speaking guide, all transport and entry fees to historic monuments; followed by an exploration of the souks and focal points of the medinas.
We can easily arrange for this holiday to start and finish in Marrakech without increasing the duration if this is more convenient.
Flights available to book with us through a range of airlines, from various UK airports either out to Marrakech and home from Agadir or vice versa. Travelling to/from the same airport in Morocco would usually mean adding an extra night at the departure location. If we book your flights this means that your holiday will also be fully ATOL protected.
Prices shown are a guideline "from" (in UK Pounds) and are based on a travelling party of at least 2 adults. Single supplements may need to be applied to the twin/double price and discounts for children (under 12yrs) and/or a 3rd adult sharing a room are available upon request. Quoted prices for individual enquiries will depend upon your chosen accommodation, room availability and dates of travel. We always aim to match a high quality experience with exceptional value for money. Discounts will apply if there are 3 or more people in your travelling party as fixed costs such as transportation and guides will be shared equally between the group.

Itinerary
Day 1 - arrive into Marrakech; private transfer directly to your accommodation.
Day 2 - a private half day guided tour of Marrakech's main historic sights, including the souks and the Djemma el Fna; afternoon - free time to relax or for optional extra sightseeing & activities, e.g. a cookery class, quad biking in the Palmeraie.
Meet your English-speaking driver at your riad (or hotel). Head out of Marrakech to the south over the High Atlas; we suggest a detour at the Tichka Pass to visit the Kasbah of Telouet and then continue down the "back road" towards Ait Ben Haddou. It is then just a short distance to Ouarzazate where you find the incredible Kasbah Taourit and the Atlas Film Studios.
Day 4 - continue south down to experience the dramatic Draa Valley via the Tizi n'Tinififft with its panoramic views. Travel all the way to Zagora where you'll see the famous "52 days by camel" sign prior to a stay in a luxury desert camp at Erg Ch'Gagga.
Day 5 - return from the desert, we suggest visiting the ancient library and pottery in Tamegroute but you may also wish to explore the area prior to travelling back up the Draa Valley as far as Agdz.
Day 6 - drive off the beaten track to the west, through Tazenacht and down to Foum Zguid. Stop overnight at the Bab Rimal Hotel or consider another night in a desert camp in the nearby wilderness of the Ch'Gagga dunes.
Day 7 - from Foum Zguid journey along the great southern road, skirting the Anti Atlas Mountains to Tata for a stopover.
Day 8 - continue your journey to the Atlantic coast and visit Goulemine en route to the unusual old Spanish town of Sidi Ifni. Stay in Sidi ifni or a little further up the coast at Mirleft.
Days 9 & 10 - two full days on the undiscovered coast of southern Morocco. Explore the region, relax on the beach, do some activities such as paragliding.
Head north up the quiet coastline to the small town of Tiznit, then ascend into the foothills of the Anti Atlas Mountains and stay in Tafraoute.
Day 12 - time to explore Anti Atlas, such as a hike to the painted rocks. Onward drive down to the Souss valley with possible detour to the ancient walled city of Taroudannt prior to arrival into Agadir.
Days 13 & 14 - relax in the resort of Agadir; you could elect to keep your driver services on for a day or two and travel around the region visiting Taroudannt, Imouzzer, even Essaouira or choose a day trip or activity to occupy your free day(s).
