This charming guesthouse dates from the 16th century and used to be a monastery (kellia means 'cells'). It began operating as a guesthouse in 1981 and was completely renovated in 2011.
The hotel is arranged over two floors (no lift). All 9 rooms have air conditioning, heating, wifi, mini bar, fridge, hairdryer, seating area, & patio.
Reception; lounge on the ground floor; delicious breakfast with organic produce from the guesthouse's own farm; the guesthouse has its own cellar (not on site) which is the oldest local products store in the castle. Guests have exclusive prices on all the local goods in the shop. Worth trying are the local wines, home made marzipan sweets and samousades (the Spartan version of baklava, filled with almonds and sesame and flavoured with many spices, cinnamon, nutmeg), honey wine and tsipouro.
